Since the beginning of August 2010 a young Red Kite without wing tags has been noted appearing on the Endangered Raptors feeding platforms (Amiata Area).

Release of 25 Red Kites

25 young Red Kites were released on the 10th and 12th August 2010, 18 were released in the Amiata Area and 7 in the Natural Regional Park of Gola della Rossa and of Frasassi.
